Finn Upham (twitter handle: @finneco) is developing a new podcast called So Strangely Podcast (@SoStrangelyPod). According to the blurb, "New Podcast on recent research in #MusicScience, sharing the how and why of what we have learned across disciplines. Launching in 2018." Hope this helps. -Hubert

Sam, this is more a response to your May 10 smt-announce message than to this SMT-discuss request, but I've maintained for almost five years a music-theory-themed blog at musicellanea.blogspot.com, where I post one item every month. Some of the posts piggyback on videos from my YouTube video channel, which has other music-theory-related videos not cross-referenced by the blog.
