    Schenkerian Analysis in Albanian

    Dear Colleagues,

    It is my pleasure to let you know that the textbook of Schenkerian analysis that I published in Paris with my colleague Luciane Beduschi has now been translated in Albanian by Sokol Shupo and is available on my website at http://nicolas.meeus.free.fr/Manuel.html. This, unless I am mistaken, is the first Schenkerian text in Albanian, and I am most thankful to the translator. The Albanian version still needs some polishing, especially in the musical examples, but it will be used this year by students of the Music Faculty in the University of Tirana.

    I suspect that more of you would be able to read the French version than the Albanian one (I cannot). There also exists a Portuguese translation of an earlier version (http://nicolas.meeus.free.fr/Cours/Index.html). I am open to any suggestion for an English version.
